20 Years of Helping Hams
And looking forward to our next 20 years!
HamTestOnline™ recently celebrated its 20th anniversary of helping folks achieve their dreams! We've helped over a hundred thousand students pass their exams, but we couldn't have done it without our loyal fans.
Thanks to all the students, fellow VEs, club members, and other hams who act as our all-volunteer sales force. You made the first 20 years possible! It's been a long journey, with many challenges along the way, and we truly appreciate all your encouragement and support through the years. You made our software and courseware better with your constructive feedback, and you helped us thrive by spreading the word.
All of us at HamTestOnline™ wish you a wonderful Holiday Season!

FCC License Fee Now in Effect
We got the FCC to bend on license fees!
On April 19, 2022, the FCC started charging $35 for all new licenses, renewals, and vanity call sign requests. They had originally proposed a $50 fee for all actions, but after the outcry from many hams, including hundreds of our readers, they reduced it to just $35 and decided not to charge for upgrades or administrative updates. This means that Technicians can upgrade to General or Extra with no additional FCC fee. Thanks to all who voiced their opinion and helped us change the FCC's minds!
General Course Update Next Year
We're anxiously awaiting the NCVEC's release!
An updated General class question pool will go into effect on July 1, 2023. As soon as they release the first draft, we'll start updating our courseware for the General class license exam. We'll keep you posted!
